Follow Bot has a goal of respecting user information. Only provided data and permissions necessary for the functionality of the application are accessed via platform APIs (Slack, Discord, Telegram, Microsoft Teams). Follow Bot retains no personal information or chat messages that do not interact with Follow Bot directly. We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate Follow Bot, as described below, and we never sell it.

The data necessary for app functionality is sent securely from the chat platform APIs to AWS cloud services. Data stored includes: Team Name, Team ID, Bot Access Token, Permission scopes, and Stripe Subscription ID. Accounts added through Follow Bot will have the following information stored: User ID, User Name, Targeted Social Account, Targeted Social Platform, Channel ID, Channel Name.

How we use, process, and share your information. We use the information above solely to operate Follow Bot: to authenticate your workspace, check the social accounts you choose to follow for new posts, and deliver notifications to the chat channels you select. Cookies and similar technologies. Our website (followbot.io) uses cookies and similar technologies that store and access information on your device, for analytics and advertising measurement through third-party providers including Google Analytics, Google Ads, the Reddit Pixel, and the Meta Pixel. These providers may place, access, or recognize cookies or similar identifiers on your device or browser. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. The Follow Bot application within your chat platform does not use cookies; this disclosure applies to our website only.

All payment processing is handled through Stripe, and is subject to their privacy policy.

All hosting and services are provided through AWS, and are subject to their privacy policy.

YouTube API Services. Follow Bot uses YouTube API Services to detect and notify you when YouTube channels you choose to follow publish new videos. By using this feature you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of any data it receives is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Follow Bot accesses only publicly available YouTube data (channel details and recently uploaded videos) for the channels you follow, in order to check for new uploads. We do not access or store any private YouTube or Google account data. We cache only a channel's public identifier, avatar image URL, and the timestamp of the last check, solely to deliver notifications. Unfollowing a channel deletes its cached data, and removing Follow Bot from your workspace or emailing support@followbot.io ends all access to YouTube data.

Personal data is retained by our service for as long as it is necessary to provide our services. We ensure that data is stored securely and handled with care.

Users can contact support@followbot.io to request access to or deletion of their data. We are committed to responding promptly to such requests and will handle them in accordance with applicable laws and our internal policies.
